Soul of the City: Decked Out

Right after the pitch project wrapped I headed down to DC to shoot some photos for an event hosted by Mark Shelton. By the time I got down there, things died down a bit, but there were still a bunch of people. He is putting together a series of art show across the country that incorporate skateboarding, hiphop, and more hosted by Soul of the City. Check out his website because he always has something up his sleeve.  These shows are to help raise money and awareness for a documentary he wants to make about the african american community and skateboarding. We'd be filming in Chicago and South Africa hopefully in early 2011. I'll be headed up to Chicago at the end of October to cover the next show.

 

 

  

MetroBall 2010

I've been hired to go down to DC for the last few Saturdays to shoot some photos and video of these basketball tournaments for kids. Its been a lot of fun and I've met a lot of cool people. Here are some shots from the events.

Skateboarding

I got out for the first time in a while and skated with Sean Cullen and Bryan Vana. It was awesome. We started out in DC and worked our way back up to ridge in perry hall. We set up a generator and a few lights and skated for hours. Check out Bryan's blog. http://badgerdash.tumblr.com/
